To determine if it is fuel starvation, - after it dies, look down into the carb and full stroke the throttle to see if you get a stream of fuel into the venturi from the accelerator pump. If not, start working your way back through the fuel pump, fuel filter, flexible fuel hose, gas cap vent, etc.
If you get a good squirt from the accelerator pump, it is probably an ignition problem. After it dies, crank it right away to see if a spark plug wire will jump a half inch gap with a bluish white spark. |
