Front motor mount

Guys
I've already read previous threads and books.
Question
What is the design clearance between the crank shaft and the cross member that the front motor mount sits on.
I ask because mine appears to be between 1/8"-1/4".
All the parts in the 3 point front motor mount appear to be correct.
I'm concerned that the crank will rub on the cross member on a trip.
This has not happened....yet
Is this normal
If not normal, where should I look for this lose of clearance
