Can you post a picture? I'm assuming you are talking about the spring end. Is the main leaf reversed as well?

With stock shackles, you should be OK. You can check it by pressing down on the spring and watch it go through it's arc. If it doesn't hit, it's fine. If it does, then you need to figure something else out. You don't want it hit the top of the axle bell when it's fully compressed.
