i'm ready to re-install the B&M blower on my 59A, but want to clean the outer casing beforehand. It is dull gray and has fuel stains, and I suspect it was coated with a clear material sometime in the past, maybe from the factory(?). I'm not going to blast it, so a chemical solution is the answer. Question is what kind? I have tried paint stripper, which doesn't work well, and am going to try bicarbonate of soda and then rubbing alcohol and if that fails, white vinegar. Any other suggestions?
Help appreciated! Thanks. |
