The connection from the copper fuel line to the newly installed gas tank in my '38 Ford standard has a small drip no matter how much I try to tighten it. I'm thinking the old fitting is no longer good?

I'm guessing it's the 2 piece with nut and ferrule, but want to make sure I order the correct one...Which of these two fittings is correct, and what are the different uses between the two?
