I just returned from our regular Thursday evening cruise where a load of non-A folk wondered what the hole in the radiator was for. So, with a stock ignition car, I pulled out the crank, slipped it in the hole, turned on the gas and ignition switch and with a ¼ crank fired the critter right up as they all stood in awe.

I personally see no reason to deviate from the stock distributor.
