Default 49 Mercury clutch

I'm about to convert my stock 49 Mercury to overdrive. The clutch is relatively new, maybe 3,000 miles, and works well, but has slight chatter I think due to my failure to surface the flywheel.

While I have tranny out should I replace the whole clutch assembly or can I save it by doing the flywheel?
