Default Generator Identification

I keep getting my hands on parts I can't identify.

Here is a generator that I got from a friend. At first I didn't look at it too quickly and assumed it was Model A, but I found some obvious differences. Instead of having a stud for the contact with the cutout, there is a wire sticking out of it. The front plate, behind the pulley, is curved, and it extends into a molded front bracket.

It does have Ford markings on it. I'm guessing Model B, or a later V8.

Does anyone know? Is it compatible with Model A?
