Default Generator Stud and Nut Question

Hi,

I am mounting my generator to the front of my manifold using the 9/16" stud and special long nut arrangement. When I took it apart there was no lock washer in my bag. Is one supposed to be used or desired? Also plan to use anti-seize on the threads since I had a tough time getting it off the stud. A few pics below off ebay, and green book. Looks to me that no LW is used on the 42 up generator mounting.
