Hi,
Trying to get my 1930 coupe on the road after correcting numerous issues from previous owners. I have installed rear Float-A-Motor mounts and also the proper spring hardware on the original front yoke mount. Also tightened body mount bolts which were missing or loose. Now the right side of the accelerator bracket is jammed against the firewall forcing the throttle open. Les Andrews vol. 1 says to tighten the front mount until accelerator bracket has clearance. I have done so mashing the lower front motor mount spring and then tried replacing the spring with a solid bushing. The bracket is still jammed against firewall. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jerry Last edited by Fillinjc; 09-17-2015 at 09:55 AM. Reason: Clarification |
