Good morning all (at least it is here),
I use my 1929 Phaeton (3.3litre ex Australia) Model A in classic car trials here in the UK (have a look at www.vscc.co.uk and the event pictures if you fancy a chuckle). I am looking to understanding what 'dealer/ford' accessories where available in the 1920's/30's for a Model A. I have been challenged that my luggage trunk, believed to be original, is not a factory option and must be removed. (I run in standard class with a very original spec car). The trunk enables me to put all the tools I need for the long drives to the events and spares for the event safely out of harms way. It also gets the weight over the rear wheels for better traction. Would anyone have some original brochures/info on Ford dealer trunks that they could share with me? I also feel my trunk is quite a nice original piece so would be interested in proving this (or not) so will try and upload some photos when I get home next weekend. Thanks in advance, Luke |
