Got them in, did not cut any wire, brake light left works great, break light right does not work. Sounds like its time to get out the volt meter or test light. Once you the right side is working, I think you'll probably want to cut the red jumper.

If you decide to hook up signals, that'll be fun. But, we'll get them working too.
