Correct on all points. I am no longer a member, but was always aware if their mailing method. I too, have marveled at the quarterly brou-hah-hah. I thought it might have been on ongoing tradition.

Our son recently went to work for the post office. From what he has told us they are having problems finding people that want to do more than the bare minimum. I think any young person that wants to make the extra effort will excel in today's work environment. Recently I bought some parts from a fellow in Vermont, and they were here in a day and a half. Not sure I could drive there that fast. When I was in the Ford business, we would pay UPS to overnight finance contracts. Usually took 2-3 days. Had several times where they were lost altogether. So, they aren't immune either.

You guys are doing well.
From the last 6 issues of The V8 Times I have had to request replacement copies of the first 4 of these and the last 2 issues I have still not received so will be requesting replacement copies of these.
Prior to the last 6 issues there were no problems.
And yes my subs were and are paid up to date.

Still have not received my replacement copies for the Jan/Feb & March/April issues although they were supposed to have been sent on the 5th May.
Has anyone received their May/June issue yet?

You might want to contact the person responsible on the V8 Ford Club Website .I think Michael Driskel took over for Dave when he retired. It all had to be shipped to TH.

May/June arrived in MN today.
Membership cards are included-- I got 2 -- must be a lost twin out there someplace.

deuce lover: There is great explaination about the V-8 TIMES and mailing and recieving issues in the May/June issue.
While that doesnt help those that are waiting, they can create a UserID and password to the Membership side of the V-8 Club web site and view the current issue online.

I will leave it another couple of weeks.
A person living at my same address using the same physical post box has had no problem with receiving his copies so far and his May/June issue will no doubt turn up as per normal in the next few days.
It appears that only about half the members in NZ are receiving their magazine.
Of course no magazine means no membership card or membership renewal notification.

It's likely a US or NZ (or both) postal system problem.

It's very frustrating on the other end of the process to get the V-8 Times magazines printed and sorted then properly delivered to the US Postal distribution centers as required by US Postal regulations only to have some delayed for a long time and others essentially lost for no valid reason.

We are doing our best to replace lost copies of the V-8 Times but there aren't many extra issues printed so supplies are limited plus the extra postage fees are an additional expenses to the club.

Attached are copies of parts of pages 5-7 of the May-June issue with the article on creating and distributing the V-8 Times and the policy on replacing missing issues. I had to copy it in pieces so you will have to either print them and paste them together or read the parts separately but all the information is there.
