All,
I am in the process of rebuilding the wood top and installing new fabric on my 41. The car currently has no top material or rain gutters but I have a good pair of gutters that were pulled off a parts woody in 1970 and have been hanging on the wall since. Does the fabric nail on and then the gutter nail over it ? If so ,do I run a bead of sealer at the top of the gutter ? Thanks for any help with this, Merrell |

I did my roof about a month ago. Used a 4" swath of contact cement around the perimeter. Got a crew together to help handle and stretch it down. We decided the glue would handle the shear load on it better than staples or nails. Next I screwed on the rain gutters. I was nervous about a big gooey mess so I did not use a sealant under the gutter strip. I think you can see the pictures on the last page of my thread called 'truck based woody'. You'll want to do this when it is really warm out.
