I am installing the turn signal kit to my cowl lights, and cannot find a sketch of the bucket assembly. What is the correct position of the gasket---under the reflector, under the lens, or under the outer rim ?

Between reflector and lens to keep the bulb dry, both cowl and head lights.

Snyders says between outer stainless rim and lens if read correctly, not between lens and reflector. The gasket on the reflector would ride on the lens clips if the latter position ?
