Default 1934 ford glove box hinge

Hey guys i replaced the hinge on my 34 ford but now the door sets to high and when open bottom edge hits dash before it can open what did i do wrong using drake repair parts

Maybe the hinge pin is not through all of the holes properly.

Either the hinge on the door is bent down or the tabs on the dash are bent up. If you got a repro hinge, I suspect the latter. See if the tab if flat against the bottom of the dash before it goes 90 degrees up.

Thanks for the photo i was mounting it on bottom of the glovebox linner as there were no holes in bottom of the dash someone filled them in

If the two small brackets are on the bottom of the dash they should have holes for the hinge pin as well as the two ears on the hinge screwed to the glove box door. Yes the pin is mounted to the bottom of the glove box. On my car the large U shape is on the RH side (toward door) of the glove box.
