I just ordered all the parts I needed from Vanpelts and did mine my self. You could ship it to him but the shipping might be costly. I live in So-Cal but do not know any one local who rebuilds these although there is probably some body out there. Good luck with it. Mark.

There is a trans rebuilder in Garden Grove - his name escapes me. He advertises in the Early Ford V 8 publication. When I get back to my shop I'll look him up and PM you with the info.

If you can't find anybody, don't be afraid to do it yourself. I did one in a '36 I used to have ('39 box with '46-'48 gears) and it was pretty easy and turned out great. Get new bearings, synchronizers, and gaskets and have at it. It was fun and didn't take very long either.

get mac vanpelts book on rebuilding and rebuilt it yourself,i just did a 39 with 40-48 guts it turned out well,not that complicated once you read the book...
