39 ford transmission rebuilder I am looking for a re-builder of 1939 ford transmissions in Southern California.
Thanks. Bob |
Re: 39 ford transmission rebuilder I just ordered all the parts I needed from Vanpelts and did mine my self. You could ship it to him but the shipping might be costly. I live in So-Cal but do not know any one local who rebuilds these although there is probably some body out there. Good luck with it. Mark.

Re: 39 ford transmission rebuilder There is a trans rebuilder in Garden Grove - his name escapes me. He advertises in the Early Ford V 8 publication. When I get back to my shop I'll look him up and PM you with the info.

Re: 39 ford transmission rebuilder If you can't find anybody, don't be afraid to do it yourself. I did one in a '36 I used to have ('39 box with '46-'48 gears) and it was pretty easy and turned out great. Get new bearings, synchronizers, and gaskets and have at it. It was fun and didn't take very long either.

Re: 39 ford transmission rebuilder Al's Transmission. Al Zannino 1932-48 ford 3 speed Specialist 714 329-3220. He is very good, he has rebuilt many for me.

Re: 39 ford transmission rebuilder I have heard good things about Max Navarro, (310) 774-6723.
