Default My 38 Ford build

I purchased this 38 ford pickup about a year ago.
My intent was to get it running and putt around town, well one thing lead to another and here we are

47ish 59ab fully rebuilt, 30 over, small cam ect not high end hot rod built but it will be a very good driver motor

T5 transmission, rebuilt as well

Halibrand quick change - rebuilt

Frame and all suspension has been powered coated

New Complete with upgrades and color coated to the original wiring harness from Rhode island wiring

Glide seat which is one of my favorite parts!

Every nut and bolt has been replaced so far.. LOL

38isthebestyear,
Welcome to the Ford Barn!
You have done a lot of work on your truck in a year. I like the engine stand!
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Very nice job! What is at the body shop getting painted? The truck, the engine or the run stand? All 3 show nice attention to detail, and welcome to the 'barn. I kept the cable brakes on my '38 tonner and living in an area with a huge deer population, I had quite a few occasions to lock them up.

The engine run stand is at the body shop, it will be painted a nice slick black color, and the fuel tank, radiator is at the polish shop. I have an extra 59ab that was rebuilt several several years ago, it spins very nice and i undecisive if i want to send it off, i have a 4" crack, 3/4 cam ect ect

The Glide seat https://www.glideengineering.com/copy-of-product is on page 33, i dont have a current picture of it sorry

These are the rear wheels ill be running, a company out of cali. I sent my wide 5 3.5" wheels and they made them 6" i believe the outer rim is from a dodge caravan. Ill have to find my recipe later and ill edit this post for the company name

I did a ton of test fitting to make sure they would fit, and now im confident they will.

One of the thing I'm struggling with is tire size, i want to run the same size front and rear mainly bc i will already have a rake in the suspension ( i lowered the front a little more than the rear) and i love to rotate my tires. so im thinking about a 6.5x16 or a 7.00x16
