My intent was to get it running and putt around town, well one thing lead to another and here we are 47ish 59ab fully rebuilt, 30 over, small cam ect not high end hot rod built but it will be a very good driver motor T5 transmission, rebuilt as well Halibrand quick change - rebuilt Frame and all suspension has been powered coated New Complete with upgrades and color coated to the original wiring harness from Rhode island wiring Glide seat which is one of my favorite parts! Every nut and bolt has been replaced so far.. LOL |

Re: My 38 Ford build 38isthebestyear,
Welcome to the Ford Barn! You have done a lot of work on your truck in a year. I like the engine stand! Regards, Chris and Cheryl |
Re: My 38 Ford build Small back story on the truck.
1938 bought New by a farmer in Missouri he fell in love with the truck, it was his pride and joy. 1959/1960 he decided to sell his farm and move to Kansas, under the condition he got to keep this truck. At the new house he contained to drive the truck a few more years I couldn't get details why he stopped driving it, at this point i assume because of his age 1975/1976 Grandson started to restore the old truck, but he only fully disassembled it. he tried to store as much of the truck inside the garage as he could but some had to be outside. 2023, I picked it up and right away started going thru everything to see what all i was missing and started ordering parts! it was a v860 i really need to be better at taking photos |

Re: My 38 Ford build Very nice job! What is at the body shop getting painted? The truck, the engine or the run stand? All 3 show nice attention to detail, and welcome to the 'barn. I kept the cable brakes on my '38 tonner and living in an area with a huge deer population, I had quite a few occasions to lock them up.
