In the process of servicing the latch on the front passenger door of my '31 slant window sedan I had to remove the window and regulator. The servicing and reinstalling of the latch mechanism went fine, but the window - not so much.
Testing the window after installation of the regulator, I found that one of the window arms (there are two on a slant window regulator) keeps jumping out of the end of the track that's installed on the bottom of the window. Like it's overextending. Regulator is in good shape, arms appear to be timed correctly, and there's only one way to install it. But in looking at the window I noticed a couple of things (see pictures):
Strangely, before I "fixed" it this window performed just fine. My plan at this point, barring information to the contrary, is to order the new channel from the suppliers and install it. The new part appears to be quite a bit longer than the old one, so that should solve my problem. Thanks, all.
