Hi, I got a re-worked delco from Bubba and I had the vacuum advance added.
Anyway, the vacuum thing on the stock dist is on the top right and on this one is the bottom left. with plug wire for the 1st cyl at 6 o'clock. I haven't tried it yet for fitment, i'm sure it'll be ok unless one of you waves a red flag. I'm a little afraid it'll interfere with the coil. Confession time, I've never done this before. I have got the rotor pointed at No. 1 with the dot and pointer lined up. I guess now I need to mark the original at the block and then get the new dist. in exactly the same position. I've read what I could on this and still have questions. Any pointers out there? Thanks Much. meanwhile I'll get into the instructions again. Bill |
