I repaired an old trunk to put on my original 1931 Tudor. I used "black wood furniture stain" to make it all the same color. However, it turned out too shiny (sp?) for the faded paint of the Tudor. Question: What method or substance can I do to remove the shine of the trunk's finish? Thanks.

What about a dry dust of spray paint, maybe a couple flat dark primers?

You might try a Scotch-Bright pad. If that doesn't work, then you could re-paint it. MIKE ![]() |
