I have a 59 engine with 59AB heads that I traded for several years ago. It has about 14,000 miles since a factory overhaul according to the last owner which I trust. I would like to mount it on a mobile test stand so I can start it occasionally. I have all of the components to do this, even a `41 pickup transmission and a `35 radiator.
I am sure some of you have test stands. Please post pictures. Give me some ideas.

Go to the search tab, advanced, then type in engine test stands, then choose early V8 in discussion forums. There are three threads with test stands and pics.

The HF heavy duty engine stand can provide most of the materials you need to build one very inexpensively. I have 4 done 5 of those.
But I have also used a 15x7 steel wheel with a 205x70x15 blackwall inflated to ~25 PSI. Strap it to a movers dolly and it becomes portable. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally figures out how to post a picture, the radiator hangs from the front posts by welding some legs that stick out, couldn't find a finished pic .If I leave the transmission on I use a sissor jack to hold up rear
