I need some advice from you all. I'm a long time lurker and sometimes poster and I've learned a lot from you all.
Today I decided to adjust my main and rod bearings and everything went great untill I was putting the rear main back together, Trying to make sure that I didn't drop the nuts in the flywheel housing, I dropped the drivers side shims. While trying to fish them out they dropped to the bottom of the housing. ![]() I tried to fish them out but no luck. I took the starter off and I was thinking about putting a big gob of grease on the flywheel, put the car in gear, push it and hope it would pick them up. What ideas do you have short of pulling the motor or rear end? How much damage would it do to leave them in there and just replace them? ![]() I appreciate any help you can offer. Tim in Hotlanta |
