Trigonometry is your friend. If you know the angle (10 degrees) and the height of the windscreen you can find 'how far back in inches?'. Here is a calculator online.
https://www.calculator.net/right-tri...alculator.html If you post the height of the windscreen. I can calculate it for you. |

When doing mod work it is partially engineering and partially playing to get it to look right. The correct angle is the angle you make everything work together easily and it may not be the angle you think.
There is a lot of mock up and then stand back to make sure it looks and fits right. I would think you need to make the cuts and tack weld everything together and then stand back to see it it works. You really need to do a functional mock up with it solidly tacked together to make sure windows and doors work. Keep in mind the original window channels may not work as well with glass that is tapered at the front edge. Look at how the real slant doors did the window glass. They changed to a two arm regulator that would keep the glass level. The straight window cars used two parallel channels and a single arm regulator to keep the glass level. Not sure how all the cowls measure out. Keep in mind the slant window windshield frame was an inch or two (I can not remember) lower. You are not really comparing apples to oranges. |

It’s more than just the windshield slant. Doors are two hinge, not three, the front portion of the side window channel gets moved aft to accommodate the slant (unless you also cut the top of the side window back?), that would impact the window regulator… an interesting project to be sure, but a lot of work.
