Do the hood runners go on the outside like this, it seems like it as the recess for the rivet fits nice
If the rubber is fitted on the inside the rivet is on the paint Lawrie |

You have it on the wrong side of the hood side panel. The one in your photo belongs on the right side hood panel. If it does not have a steel insert to give it body like the original, it is near worthless. The Bob Drake versions are/were as original.

The Grille and Cowl welting for the Hood, in the image above it shows a channel in the middle and the colour is sandy beige, does any one have a source for this material, I have the vintique stuff but it does not have the channel and is a very dark brown thanks in advance my 38 has the cowl welting as per Lawrie's image on his 33 |

David, It is very hard to buy from Bob drake , it used to be easy, the last few items I priced out art $41 and freight at $257
I t would be nice if I could get them from him or some who's freight is not excessive. Lawrie |

Try thirdgenauto.com. Michael stocks some Drake items or may have another source for the steel-reinforced hood side panel corner rubber bumpers.
