Here's some good info. to get you started. Also do a search on Fordbarn on how to install an 8BA in a 36 coupe. Lots has been written on this swap. Be sure to consider radiator top hose clearance and fan blade clearance.
https://www.bing.com/search?q=how+to...ANAB01&PC=HCTS plus this: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...+36+ford+coupe Also, read this: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...=8ba+1936+ford And this antichatter (steadyrod) adaptation modifications. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=313652 and https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...tichatter+rods Last edited by 19Fordy; 01-06-2024 at 05:43 PM. |

ABONES: Sometimes it's better to "Google" the question you have rather than do a Fordbarn search. Then, that will provide additional leads on other sites.

![]() As Jim ("19Fordy") mentions, a mechanical FAN can be quite difficult to shoehorn into a '35 or '36 with an 8BA because the radiators lean back toward the rear leaving little precious room for a fan. And since we have heard that electric fans are about as un-cool as taking your own sister to the prom, we decided to come up with a better way to employ a mechanical fan. Click the link BELOW for a thread describing the fan assembly that we designed and built for his 8BA. Works great and cools his engine in the Florida summertime heat. The front is easiest with 8Rt eater pumps, I'd also considering the use of eletric fam, a two stage fan is best and the junk yards are full of them. Now everybody has their own idea whats best, I'm lazy and cheap The load a matic dist /carb work very good . Have Charly check it out> Gramps/ PS |
