Here's some good info. to get you started. Also do a search on Fordbarn on how to install an 8BA in a 36 coupe. Lots has been written on this swap. Be sure to consider radiator top hose clearance and fan blade clearance.

ABONES: Sometimes it's better to "Google" the question you have rather than do a Fordbarn search. Then, that will provide additional leads on other sites.

As Jim ("19Fordy") mentions, a mechanical FAN can be quite difficult to shoehorn into a '35 or '36 with an 8BA because the radiators lean back toward the rear leaving little precious room for a fan. And since we have heard that electric fans are about as un-cool as taking your own sister to the prom, we decided to come up with a better way to employ a mechanical fan. Click the link BELOW for a thread describing the fan assembly that we designed and built for his 8BA. Works great and cools his engine in the Florida summertime heat.

There are two areas you have to look at therear is the easiest . Have the flywheek re drilled for the 9" pressure plate and this will bolt to the 35 trans. So Will the stock 10: but the 1 3/5 input shaft will requie a different disk.
The front is easiest with 8Rt eater pumps, I'd also considering the use of eletric fam, a two stage fan is best and the junk yards are full of them. Now everybody has their own idea whats best, I'm lazy and cheap

The load a matic dist /carb work very good . Have Charly check it out>
