I have an old Sears engine analyzer which is 12volts. I want to check rpm and dwell on my 52 pos.grnd 6volt Ford v8. How should I connect the red, black and green wires. Ive been getting different suggestions? I believe an external 12 volt battery should be used during this setup? What do you think?

Use a 9 volt battery Hook up the analyzer leads + to + - to - Place the inductive pick up over #1 Plug Should work for RPM
Re dwell the analyzer will not work Set to TDC and use timing light |
