will a 40 coupe body fit on a 37 chassis wo any mods?

yes, 1935 to,40 and 1941 pick up , will work ,

You will have to fit the 40 brake pedals, the hole is different. The radiator mounting brackets will need changed to the 40 style.
If it's a 37 v860 chassis a couple other things need changed.

In general, it will fit

Front cross member and the centre box section will need to be changed out as well.

Most often, back in the day that switch went the other way, guys put a 37 body on a 40 chassis to get hydraulic brakes.

Your DMV may want to register your car as a 1937 based on the serial number when you change the frame. Whatever you do be sure to keep them happy.

no problem in NJ- all good. we have no inspection on antiques.
