I am going to get an A manifold punched for my Model B carb. I am just curious if I reattach an A carb, will it matter? Or, will the larger throat opening cause issues with turbulence and vacuum?
Thanks, Mike

It won't cause any problem at all. I'm doing it right now as my B carb. is in for repair so I'm running an A carb. on a bored out A manifold

Hi Mike, that what I have on my slant T/S. It's run fine for years with a Tillotson and now Marvel carbs.
Make sure the shop references off the bore and not the flange. |

According to the Piranios dyno sheets site , a bored out model A intake manifold will help, even if a model A zenith carb is used .

I agree with all above. Bored out A manifold with Zenith A and B, Tillotson and running a Marvel. All worked well and like the Marvel right now, one with accelerator pump and one with out. All work well.
