A/B manifold question I am going to get an A manifold punched for my Model B carb. I am just curious if I reattach an A carb, will it matter? Or, will the larger throat opening cause issues with turbulence and vacuum?
Thanks, Mike |
Re: A/B manifold question It won't cause any problem at all. I'm doing it right now as my B carb. is in for repair so I'm running an A carb. on a bored out A manifold

Re: A/B manifold question Hi Mike, that what I have on my slant T/S. It's run fine for years with a Tillotson and now Marvel carbs.
Make sure the shop references off the bore and not the flange. |
Re: A/B manifold question According to the Piranios dyno sheets site , a bored out model A intake manifold will help, even if a model A zenith carb is used .

Re: A/B manifold question I agree with all above. Bored out A manifold with Zenith A and B, Tillotson and running a Marvel. All worked well and like the Marvel right now, one with accelerator pump and one with out. All work well.

Re: A/B manifold question Great! I didn't think there would be a problem but just wanted to make sure. Now to find as place that can do it and then plane it.
