took the roadster out for a few hours and averaged 18 MPG is this about normal?

It is good, but the car could be doing in the low twenties.
A lot of variables involved, but well set up engines seem to be in the low twenties area. |

it is an import, cant find any numbers on it other than the engine and it is a nov. 1928 mfg. date the guy I got it from said its a 29 but not sure if 28 or 29.
lots of stop and go traffic here, signal lights about every kilo on average. |

I was a little surprised at the 21.8 mpg I got covering the 4500 mile trip to the MAFCA convention. I had a new engine and ran a Marvel carburetor which I basically had turned all the way off on most highway driving conditions.
