Re: MPG Good? I agree that it's normal.
Do you have the good gas in Japan, or do you have to burn the corn crap? |
Re: MPG Good? Excellent!
Pluck |
Re: MPG Good? No corn, it would have to be imported, 86 octane on base 86-92 off base.

Re: MPG Good? Sounds good to me!

Re: MPG Good? It is good, but the car could be doing in the low twenties.
A lot of variables involved, but well set up engines seem to be in the low twenties area. |
Re: MPG Good? I don't track it...I just drive and enjoy it.
Currently making about 25 smiles a mile |

Spent some time in Japan in the early '70's, (flew some missions out of Yokota) never seen a single model A, let alone any older classics. |

Re: MPG Good? Having spent some time in the Far East, I was wondering how you ever found a Model A in Japan? Or did you take it with you?
|
Re: MPG Good? MPg sounds prtetty good to me. Maako, Is it a Japanese asembled Model A or an import from elsewhere?
|
Re: MPG Good? it is an import, cant find any numbers on it other than the engine and it is a nov. 1928 mfg. date the guy I got it from said its a 29 but not sure if 28 or 29.
lots of stop and go traffic here, signal lights about every kilo on average. |
Re: MPG Good? I was a little surprised at the 21.8 mpg I got covering the 4500 mile trip to the MAFCA convention. I had a new engine and ran a Marvel carburetor which I basically had turned all the way off on most highway driving conditions.
