48fordconv Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Portland, ME Posts: 132	12 volt alt on 48 Ford I'm thinking of converting my 48 Ford to 12 volt. Can you buy a bracket that will take a GM 1 wire alternator without machine work. Why I want to go this route is if I should have to replace on the road I could go to any parts store and get a stock GM alternator 1 wire. thanks
