Default Small holes in top inside of open car windshield frame

I am attaching a picture of the drivers inside top piece of a 30/31 open car windshield frame. There are 2 small holes, as you can see in the picture. I suspect the holes were drilled for something after it was manufactured. Does anyone know if the holes are factory punched, which I suspect were not?
Thanks
Rusty Nelson

Bob,
I never thought of that. Maybe that is what the holes were for.
Thanks,

Bob is correct. Two small clamps hold the vacuum wiper hose in place there.
