I use a made in USA "modern" starter drive on my 4 cyl Model A and it has held up well. How do they do on a flathead?

Here's an odd thing, that rubber type "modern" starter drive, Ford had a play with this idea in the mid 30's. Seen pics in the service bulletins, but never seen one.
Anyone seen the beast? Martin. |

I have used three so far, 8CM-ok, 59AB-would not work-stuck in flywheel, tried a totally different starter with "modern drive" it also stuck. changed to USA built old style and works great. all on 12 volt

Ware do I get a ( USA built old style starter drive with spring ) for 41 Ford 6 volt? A friend paid a lot money to have his starter rebuilt with the China drive and the drive didn't last very long. Thanks Walt
