Barrel type starter drive I use a made in USA "modern" starter drive on my 4 cyl Model A and it has held up well. How do they do on a flathead?

Re: Barrel type starter drive Here's an odd thing, that rubber type "modern" starter drive, Ford had a play with this idea in the mid 30's. Seen pics in the service bulletins, but never seen one.

Re: Barrel type starter drive I have used three so far, 8CM-ok, 59AB-would not work-stuck in flywheel, tried a totally different starter with "modern drive" it also stuck. changed to USA built old style and works great. all on 12 volt

Re: Barrel type starter drive Mine has worked great for a little over a year now. Only problem was having to do a little grinding to get it to slip into the bell housing.
