My windshield regulator is from Bob Drake and according to the info on the box is the right part. I also bought one on Ebay that is identical. It appears to need a pedestal from the regulator mounting holes to the base or something. Is something missing? Thanks! Ajohn

Pictures posted here of what you have might help us to better understand your question.
I have purchased a couple of Drakes new '35-'36 repro windshield regulators for my cars and they fit and work very well.

ajohn...The windshield regulator has a mounting bracket on the bottom of it that bolts to the brackets inside the cab. If there is a height problem, maybe the brackets inside the cab have been bent downward? I have not seen any type of riser used for mounting a windshield regulator on the 35-36 pickup other than the bracket incorporated into the base of the regulator.

John: Since we spoke on the phone a while ago, and reading Old and Tired's post, I recall I had the same problem. My mounting bracket had been bent and I had to bend it back to where everything lined up. I have forgotten which way I had to bend it. I used a large crescent wrench. Worked great. Lawson ![]()
