1935 pickup W/S regulator question My windshield regulator is from Bob Drake and according to the info on the box is the right part. I also bought one on Ebay that is identical. It appears to need a pedestal from the regulator mounting holes to the base or something. Is something missing? Thanks! Ajohn

Re: 1935 pickup W/S regulator question Pictures posted here of what you have might help us to better understand your question.
I have purchased a couple of Drakes new '35-'36 repro windshield regulators for my cars and they fit and work very well. |
Re: 1935 pickup W/S regulator question ajohn...The windshield regulator has a mounting bracket on the bottom of it that bolts to the brackets inside the cab. If there is a height problem, maybe the brackets inside the cab have been bent downward? I have not seen any type of riser used for mounting a windshield regulator on the 35-36 pickup other than the bracket incorporated into the base of the regulator.

John: Since we spoke on the phone a while ago, and reading Old and Tired's post, I recall I had the same problem. My mounting bracket had been bent and I had to bend it back to where everything lined up. I have forgotten which way I had to bend it. I used a large crescent wrench. Worked great. Lawson :o |
Re: 1935 pickup W/S regulator question Lil later, I'll post pics of the ones I took out of a '36 cab a bit back.
