Default Correct luggage rack - I hope!

My goal with my 29 tudor is to as close as possible return it to the way it might have looked in 1929. As part of that I am both removing all the "bling" added to it probably during its last restoration. and correcting any mistakes I find. The car came with a chrome with woodgrain slats repop luggage rack (on the left in the image below), which might look good on a deluxe roadster, but did not look like it belonged on a 29 tudor - which was basic transportation back then. I found a black luggage rack (on the right below) that looked more at home. But before I disassemble it to restore it and transfer over the mounting brackets to allow it to sit behind my spare, is this truly a "standard" luggage rack that would have been found on a non deluxe model A sedan?
