What is the best way to install the fuel pipe coupling hose?
The fit of the new hose is tight and I assume hot air to heat it might help getting it on, but what is the best sequence to use? The new tank is in the car but I can remove it. Should I grease the inside of the hose? Does the hose go on the tank first or should I assemble it to the filler pipe first and then make it up to the tank? Thanks

I have found it easier to place it upon the filler tube first and only then over the tank inlet. I soak the end of the hose in tepid water for a minute or two to soften it up a bit.

If you can't get it on by warming it, the upper filler neck unbolts fairly easy, that's how I had to do mine.

Hot water did the trick. It's in. Thanks.
