I have a set of M & S Hydraulics shocks on my 1934 Brewster Town Car. The arm has fallen off of a front shock. Can any one tell me at what position I should replace it? My assumption would be at mid travel on the shock. Does that make good sense? It appears that M & S is no longer in business. This arm is just a press fit so I plan to press it back on using LocTight, in case the press fit is not quite snug enough. Thanks, Don

Happy to hear they are no longer in biz as they jerked me around and didn't do a set of shocks right. Sorry I don't know where the arm sits other than possibly figuring out where the middle of the shaft movement is and placing the arm there.

Are your links Bolted or Riveted together ?

M&S went out of business for a good reason. Their reproduction and rebuilt shocks were junk. Unfortunately, I know this from personal experience.
If that arm came off, I would bet there is a problem in the press fit area of the arm and shaft and it will likely come off again even if Loctite is used. Sorry to be so negative, but I think you need to seek a better fix.

I can not say for certain but often there is a stamped mark (like aligning the timing marks on the cam gear and the cam) both on the arm and the shaft. Look closely and align both if there is.

I have talked people through putting the arm back on using Loctite with good results.
