Default 1939 Ford Standard Headlamp Buckets

I am installing LED headlamps in my 39 Ford 2dr sedan standard and the headlamps are the correct diameter but because the LED has a back plastic housing for cooling purposes the headlamps in the standard factory bucket are tight against the sides and give me zero adjustment. Anyone done this and have ideas. I am thinking about adding a section to the bucket to make it longer but really need some more diameter to allow for headlamp movement/adjustment. This is my weekend project so all wild ideas will be appreciated.

It does sound like you will have to make the bucket bigger.

Or just not use them.

Mart.

Chief, I doubt that you'll ever get LEDs adjusted to work with the '39 Standard lens, no matter what you do with the reflector.
