Default old engine

I did some head matching for a local guys 39 ford, the engine was a mess after he beat the heads off it,he bought an old truck half chassis and engine to fit the engine into the 39,but when he started this engine it made a hell of a racket,so he pulled it and took the heads off for the 39 engine, these are the ones I machined .
he gave me the other engine minus the heads and with one piston in two parts and the rod just flailing up and down in the bore.
I pulled this engine apart this arfo,
3-1/16 bore +.020.-060 on the rod bearings ,std mains on the crank.
Best thing of all,it gave up a set of the early 2inch rods in good condition, only .0015 over the 2.220 bore,
the block got stored under the bench and the rods will get resized.
