Default Model C head on a Model A block

Does anyone have a Model C head on their Model A block?
I refering to the Model B head that has the 'C' on it.

What needs to be done to a Model C head to run it on a Model A block?
I heard that they may be a couple of water port holes that should be welded up?

What type of gasket is used?

Did you notice any increase in horse power?

Thanks, Neil
