I'm doing a pair of the 5 3/4 BLC fog lights for the front of my deuce roadster that will serve as running lights and turn signals. The reflector has a very small u shaped rubber gasket around it that creates a seal between the lens and reflector. As expected the rubber seal fell into little pieces when I took the light apart today. And ideas where replacement pieces could be found? Thanks

Maybe black door edge guard would work - I have used it on many similar type situations and 9 times out of 10 it worked. Also glaziers have or used to have rolls of gooey sticky glazing tape - an auto glass supplies place would be the best - I am going back a lot of years now. It’s like a small round bead. There is also the same thing in rolled window caulk but it’s grey in hardware stores - it had a name but I cannot think of it. Finally old cloth electrical tape might work.
Hopefully one of these will work for you …. good luck! |
