BLC Fog Lights I'm doing a pair of the 5 3/4 BLC fog lights for the front of my deuce roadster that will serve as running lights and turn signals. The reflector has a very small u shaped rubber gasket around it that creates a seal between the lens and reflector. As expected the rubber seal fell into little pieces when I took the light apart today. And ideas where replacement pieces could be found? Thanks

Re: BLC Fog Lights Get a piece of small tubing and slit it open?

Re: BLC Fog Lights I'll do that as a last resort.

Re: BLC Fog Lights Maybe black door edge guard would work - I have used it on many similar type situations and 9 times out of 10 it worked. Also glaziers have or used to have rolls of gooey sticky glazing tape - an auto glass supplies place would be the best - I am going back a lot of years now. It’s like a small round bead. There is also the same thing in rolled window caulk but it’s grey in hardware stores - it had a name but I cannot think of it. Finally old cloth electrical tape might work.
Hopefully one of these will work for you …. good luck! |
Re: BLC Fog Lights Check with a building supply that does storm windows, they us a U shaped black rubber seal.

Re: BLC Fog Lights I am facing the same problem with 4" fog lights. I'm considering an o-ring. Standard and custom o-rings and also o-ring stock (make your own) are available. O-ring stock with a square cross section is also available. Check the following website:
