My gas gauge has been leaking since I got the car and the gauge has been reading 1/4 low so it needed attention.
Got the necessary parts and tools from snyders and today was the day to fix it. Of course I had nearly 3/4 of a tank but my jiggle siphon pulled out 5 gallons quickly and I was ready for disassembly. The pictures below will show what I found. Rather than fixing it correctly someone attached a second float and arm to the original ! It is all back together now using the proper parts and working as it should. |
